Just found these very old photos of my hometown Cebu City and I’m amazed at how different it looked. As I look closely to the pictures, it’s a far cry from today’s look, it seems more peaceful and less polluted. What really got my attention is the old photo of Mango Ave. (now called Gen. Maxilom Ave.), obviously, it was called Mango Ave. because it was surrounded with Mango trees back in the day, how amazing! I can’t imagine how it turned out to be the city’s ‘night life’ capital these days. The photos look like it has a lot of great stories to tell, it makes me wanna go back in time and discover what it was like to live in a city that is not as crowded as it is now. Time machine anyone?
The first time I heard the news that Hollywood A-lister Angelina Jolie had a double mastectomy, I can almost hardly believe it. ‘How brave of her to do that!’ was my first reaction. As I read more and more articles about it, especially her long-time partner Brad Pitt’s statement, I realized how strong of a woman she is. Angelina is one of Hollywood’s most beloved and respected actresses, and a personal favorite of mine, I’m happy to know that she got the support of her family, friends, and fans when she needs it the most. This brave move that she did made me admire her more and I’m pretty sure a lot of women -myself included- will look up to her after this. Such an inspiration!
PS: I’m keeping my fingers crossed though that she won’t quit acting!
